Hailing from Ambur, Tamil Nadu — a town where leather is not just an industry but a way of life — my journey with leather began in childhood. Growing up in a region where almost every household is connected in some way to tanneries, factories, or exports, I have seen firsthand how deeply leather shapes communities, livelihoods, and global trade.
Over the years, while India’s leather industry has achieved global recognition, I noticed a gap — we lacked a dedicated digital-first platform that could capture our stories, highlight opportunities, and provide actionable insights to stakeholders across the value chain.
LeatherInsights.in is my effort to bridge that gap. This platform is designed to be more than just a news portal. It is a knowledge and networking hub — bringing together industry updates, market intelligence, events, suppliers, and job opportunities — all under one roof.
